Rules for the use of cookies and similar technologies

Updated: October 1, 2018

As on most sites, when you visit ours, a small amount of data may be stored on your mobile phone, tablet or computer hard drive using cookies, web beacons or similar technologies. In these rules of use, the term “cookies” is broad and includes similar technologies such as local storage. Cookies contribute to the proper functioning of our site and provide us with information about how users interact with our site. We use this information to improve our site. We do not seek to personally identify visitors unless they voluntarily provide us with their address through a form or application on the site.

Cookies. There are different types of cookies that perform different functions and generally improve your visit to the site. We use cookies to find out if you have already visited the site or to remember your user preferences. For example, the language you have chosen is stored in a cookie so that when you return to this site, that language is automatically selected. We do not use cookies to present advertising.

The cookies used on this site can be classified into three categories:

1. Strictly necessary cookies: These cookies are essential for you to be able to use certain features of the site, such as identifying yourself and filling in a form. Without these cookies, we will not be able to offer you the services you have requested. Some of these cookies also allow us to provide you with a service that you explicitly requested during your browsing session. They do not record any information about you that could be used for commercial purposes or to remember the sites you visit.
2. Functionality cookies (or: preferably): These cookies are used to display the site according to the choices you have made (for example, your username, language or country) and to improve your user experience.
3. Analytical cookies: These cookies are used to collect information about the behaviour of visitors to the site (for example, the number of visits or the average duration of a visit). This information is only used to improve the functioning of the site.

Most of our cookies are internal cookies; they are installed by our site. Some are third-party cookies, which are set by different websites. In our list of examples of cookies, we clearly indicate which ones are third-party cookies.

Invisible pixels (or: web beacons). The pages of our site may contain small electronic files, called web beacons or web beacons, that allow us to record activity on the site, such as your viewing a certain page. Web beacons are used to track site usage and monitor site performance.

IP address. An IP address is a numeric code that identifies your computer on the Internet. We use your IP address and browser information to analyze your site usage patterns, diagnose problems with this site and improve the service we provide to you. Without additional information, your IP address does not allow you to be personally identified.

Your choice. When you enter this site, our cookies are sent to your browser and stored on your computer. By using our site, you agree to the use of cookies and similar technologies. If you wish to delete them, you can do so by changing your browser settings. However, please note that without cookies, you will not be able to access all the features of our site. The method of deleting cookies varies from one browser to another. For complete instructions, you can consult your browser’s help menu.
