ABOUT THABI ART FUSION

BACKGROUND

ARTIST

SYLVAIN

Artists Alda and Sylvain from Thabi Art Fusion were able to learn artistic painting during their studies. They liked to look at the local artists who gave them, in return, advice on the method and technique of painting. This is how they learned to develop their artistic talent and express their taste for painting.

ARTIST

ALDA

Alda Bikindou likes to transmit the beauty and joy of the simple things in life.

She says,”I want to convey the feeling that it is wonderful to be alive and to have the ability to enjoy the many positive aspects of life. A gathering of African women in colourful costumes, an African market, a colourful crowd, a wonderful African city, all have their inherent vibrant beauty. I try to capture this beauty in my paintings and bring our clients to experience the same joy I felt when I created my paintings.

Sylvain Bikindou, on the other hand, likes the abstract. Use colours to express his creativity. He says: “It is very rewarding to know that our creations bring great joy to people all over the world and to receive photos of the paintings that our customers have hung on their walls.

When the demand for their works increased, they made the decision to start their own small family business. Today, painting has thus become their main professional activity. Thabi Art Fusion has the privilege of presenting its creations in the “The Water Shed” gallery on the Cape Town waterfront.

Honesty is also reflected in the choice of products Thabi Art Fusion uses: they only work with non-toxic water-based acrylic paint that is not harmful. They personally buy all the equipment they need, such as paint, brushes, jute canvas, framing wood, from local suppliers.

Being able to create jobs for a limited number of people, even part-time, is important to us. Thabi Art Fusion also supports youth by sharing with children their know-how and artistic painting techniques through workshops.
